It is now officially December, which means it is more than acceptable to bust out the holiday decorations, start dancing to some holiday tunes and (...EEEK!) start Christmas gift shopping!
Now if you're like me, giving gifts is one of the most enjoyable parts of the Christmas season! Taking the time to pick something out, make something by hand or send a card in the mail to someone you love is so much fun! The best part is seeing their reaction when they open the gift you so thoughtfully bought/made/planned for them.
BUT sometimes gift shopping can be difficult or stressful, especially if you don't know the person you're buying for very well. Picking out clothing or accessories like jewelry can also be difficult if you are unsure of style of the person you are buying for. Getting out to the stores and trying to find a park can zap you of all your Christmas spirit! For those reasons, I created a handy little gift guide that will help make your Christmas shopping a little bit easier!
I think jewelry is a lovely classic gift option for any special lady in your life. So whether buying for your daughter, sister, mother, aunt, niece, cousin, friend, or partner, you'll find something for everyone in our winter collection. Take our "Pick-a-Piece" quiz below to help you pick out the perfect gift for your loved one!
If you took the quiz, let me know what result you got in the comments below! I got the Versatility Necklace (which is my favourite piece in the winter collection!)
Worried about returns? We accept holiday returns up until January 5th, 2018.
Did you know there are over 12 ways to style the versatility necklace?
When I created this piece, I envisioned a necklace that could do it all: work days, nights out, classes on campus or coffee with a friend.
To me, this necklace is the ultimate minimalist's piece of jewelry. All you need is one piece to create multiple looks. Keep it short and sweet or wear it long and sweeping; layer up for some texture, or pop a tassel on to add some fun. This one necklace does it all for you! Tired of necklaces? You can even wear it as a bracelet. The detachable tassel is just the start: keep reading to discover 12 ways to style the versatility necklace.
Below is a guide on how to recreate all of the necklace styles pictured above to help you get the most out of this piece. There are even more than 12 ways to wear this necklace: this guide is just the beginning.
I hope this has inspired you to be more creative with styling your jewelry, especially this piece. Which is your favourite way to style the versatility necklace?
The holiday season is upon us again!
We all have that lovely lady in our life who deserves a special something this time of year. I am a firm believer that gifts do not have to be flashy or expensive to be memorable. Some of the most memorable gifts I've received have been days out, trips to the museum, or a ticket for skating at the local arena. Sometimes, spending time with your loved ones doing something you both enjoy is the greatest gift of all.
However, little things can also bring great joy (like the Roots socks that appear in my stocking year after year!). If you are looking to buy a little something for your loved ones this winter, I have put together a list of my favourite gift recommendations for 2017.
1. A new pair of holiday earrings
2. A holiday-scented candle to burn during the season. My personal favourite is this one from Indigo - your whole house will smell like a Christmas tree!
3. A good book. My top pick is Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur.
4. Something warm. Hats, gloves, and woolen socks give your loved one the gift of warmth!
5. A new pair of frames
6. A new lipcolour (maybe in a Christmas Red?). These ones from Milani come in beautiful gold packaging that will look extra special under the tree
7. Her new favourite necklace (it's a new necklace everyday!)
8. A date to the local coffeeshop
9. A meaningful card with a handwritten note
10. A box of festive tea
11. A tin of hot chocolate mix
12. A 2018 planner so she can stay organized all year long!
13. An e-reader so always has something to read on-the-go.
14. A new pair of cozy winter pjamas
15. Chocolate - does this need an explanation?
